{"value"=>"Thomas J. Dodd (1907-1971) was a United States Senator and Representative from Connecticut. In 1967, he was censured by the Senate for misuse of campaign funds and defeated for reelection. John Bakeless (1894-1978) of Seymour, Connecticut, was a graduate of Williams College and Harvard who served as a military intelligence officer in the United States Army. The collection consists of letters written between 1959 and 1968 by Senator Dodd in response to letters from Bakeless. The letters generally relate to Dodd's stances on various political issues, or his position on legislation presented to the House and Senate"}
