{"value"=>"<p>The C. A. Muller Actors Portraits consists of 32 watercolor portraits of actors in costume from about 1870 to 1897. Most are signed by the actor, many also containing a quote from the play depicted. Most of the portraits are also signed by Muller and were probably rendered from photographs.</p> <p>The images are primarily inscribed to <span class=\"persname\">J. W. Albaugh</span>, a theater manager from the Washington D.C. area, with personal notes from the actors. Some of the actors included are <span class=\"persname\">Mary Anderson</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Lawrence Barrett</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Sarah Bernhardt</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Edwin Booth</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Lotta Crabtree</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Fanny Davenport</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Edwin Forrest</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Joseph Jefferson</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Richard Mansfield</span>, <span class=\"persname\">Ada Rehan</span> and <span class=\"persname\">E. H. Sothern</span>.</p>"}
