The collection consists of letters relating to Sanger's work on the State Commission on Lunacy, his personal research on the Spanish-American War, and his support of the charitable \"Lighthouses for the Blind\" agency. Notable correspondents include John Adams Dix, Charles Evans Hughes, Seth Low, Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., Elihu Root, Henry L. Stimson, and various military figures. Also included is a letter from Civil War general Charles Cleveland Dodge to his wife Mary Schieffelin dated 19 August 1863, and a set of clippings announcing Dodge's death"}
