{"value"=>"<p> <span class=\"persname\">Buddy Basch</span>, born in 1922 in South Orange, New Jersey and educated at Columbia University, was a columnist, radio critic and editor before becoming a successful talent agent in the 1950s. With his partner Dick Gersh he formed the talent agency Buddy Basch Associates. Though primarily an agent for singers, his clients also included musicians, comedians, actors and a variety of performing artists. In 1966 he formed the Buddy Basch Feature Syndicate and covered show business, travel and many other subjects for a variety of well-known publications including <span class=\"title\">The New York Daily News</span>, <span class=\"title\">Argosy</span>, <span class=\"title\">The Christian Science Monitor</span> and <span class=\"title\">Today Magazine</span>.</p>"}
