{"value"=>"<p>Walter Coulson, English newspaper editor and barrister. In his youth, he studied under and worked for the philosopher Jeremy Bentham, who helped him get a position at the Morning Chronicle in 1813. Coulson became editor of the liberal political newspaper The Traveller in 1800, and in 1828, began his career as a barrister. He was a friend of Charles Dickens, the novelist; Francis Place, the radical; and James Mill, the utilitarian philosopher. Coulson was also the godfather of the first child of William Hazlitt, the critic and essayist, and acted for Hazlitt's wife in their divorce proceedings.</p>", "supress_display"=>true}
