The correspondence consists of letters from the author, dating from 1877 to 1906, to her son John Craigie, Edmund William Gosse, Henry Higgs, Thomas Werner Laurie, her parents Laura Hortense and John Morgan Richards, Theodore Watts-Dunton, the literary agency T. Fisher Unwin, and others, as well as letters relating to the author, dating from 1897 to 1933, between various correspondents, including Sir Edmund Gosse, John Morgan Richards, Sir Owen Seaman, Clement King Shorter, Charles Whibley, T.
