Goodell, Jr., Edmund Gosse, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Frederick Locker-Lampson, Rev. William Jenks, James R. Osgood, John Greenleaf Whittier, and others. Also included is a letter, dated 1886, from Spencer Horatio Walpole to Frederick Locker-Lampson, relating to Oliver Wendell Holmes. There are letters to Holmes from John Peters, and Franklin Benjamin Sanborn, as well as a letter from Sir William Tennant Gardnier in Edward Newton Perkins' hand, dating from 1859 to 1886.</p>"}
