Family Correspondence</a></div>\n<div class='series-description'><p>The majority of the letters is incoming; replies (if any) are located under the sender's name. Subjects include announcements, childbirth, family events, local news and news from abroad, and some business correspondence such as David Maitland Armstrong's firm. Other correspondents of interest are Charles Marshall Armstrong's naval activities and Eliza Rosetta Armstrong's descriptions of New Orleans and Louisiana during the early part of the 19th century.</p></div></li><li><div class='series-title'><a href='/mss/128#c1038638'>II. Financial and Legal Documents</a></div>\n<div class='series-description'><p>Mainly related to some miscellaneous family accounts of family members and documents relating to the estate \"Danskammer\" and passports.</p></div></li><li><div class='series-title'><a href='/mss/128#c1038655'>III. Printed Material</a></div>\n<div class='series-description'><p>Series consists mainly of newspaper clippings, an assortment of 19th century newspapers, and \"An account...\" Falkland Islands (1833) by Thomas Helmsby.
