They include correspondence (1915-1919) press releases, bulletins, lists of names of district leaders and voters, resolutions, pamphlets, and other printed matter, and chiefly deal with the suffrage campaign in upstate New York, the Johnstown (N. Y.) Convention of 1917, the Suffrage Campaign Conference of 1917, and the New York state equal suffrage referendum of 1917. Correspondents include Harriet Laidlaw congressional chairperson of the party, Homer P. Snyder, New York Congressman and strong supporter of equal suffrage in the state, W. R. Ellis, editor of the Utica (N. Y.) Press and Will Crawford, general superintendent of the Community Chautauquas, Inc., both of whom were active promoters of the cause of equal suffrage.</p>"}
