The typescripts include a draft and proof of \"Days of Destiny,\" a list of his works dated 1931, and an authorization to Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong. The bulk of the collection includes correspondence, dating from 1893 to 1946, from the author to Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong, Wilfred Hugh Chesson, Grant Richards, G. H. Wiggins, Charles H. Daniels, Carl Van Vechten, and others. There are also letters relating to the author, dating from 1923 to [1948], exchanged between Terence Ian Fytton Armstrong, John Days Beresford, Thomas Burke, John Buchan, Alfred E. Coppard, Lord Alfred Douglas, Alfred Knopf, Alfred E. W. Mason, Albert Reynolds Morse, Carl Van Vechten, and others. There are letters to Shiel from John Davys Beresford, Alfred Edward Woodley Mason, and Grant Richards, dating from 1898 to 1935.</p>"}
