He toured with the Lunts in I KNOW MY LOVE, with Sylvia Sidney in AUNTIE MAME, and with Shirley Booth in NINA, appeared with Ed Begley and Paul Muni in INHERIT THE WIND, and in productions of CAROUSEL, THE FOURPOSTER, and NIGHT OF THE IGUANA.
