{"value"=>"<p> Kaja Gam, performance artist, actor, choreographer, film maker and interior designer, was born in Denmark in 1952. She moved to New York in 1980, and soon after formed the Awkward Dance Company. In 1982, she joined with Nelson Zayas, Brian Moran, Gayle Tufts, Donald Fleming and Yoshiko Chuma in founding The School of Hard Knocks. She has a M.A. in choreography and experimental theater from New York University, a B.S. in film from Copenhagen University, and a B.S. in applied anatomy, physiology and kinesiology.
