{"value"=>"<p>Isadora Bennett (1900-1980) was a publicist specializing in the performing arts. Beginning with her work for Martha Graham in the late 1930s, Bennett became associated with modern American dance companies, and the association would last for the rest of her life. She expanded her clientele to encompass other types of artists after entering a partnership with Richard Pleasant in 1948. After his death in 1961, Bennett continued working as a publicist until 1972, when she retired. She received numerous awards for her contribution to the field of dance in America, and occasionally published essays on the subject.</p>"}
