Myer investigated many aspects of the Kabbalah and the history of Jewish Mysticism, but his main focus and the bulk of his papers relate to the speculative rather than doctrinal aspects of the Kabbalah. His research centered on the Zohar, a Kabbalistic work originating in Spain in the late 13th Century, the Sepher Yezirah, or \"Book of Creation\", dating from the 9th century, and later, Christian commentators on the Kabbalah including J. Munk, and Knorr von Rosenroth, author of Kabbalah Denudatae, or the Kabbalah Unveiled. These later commentaries focused on the relationship of the Kabbalah to Christian doctrine, and the relationship of Christian Gnosticism to the Kabbalah. Myer's own books include: The Qabbalah: The Philosophy Of Ibn Gebriol, ON Dreams by Sysesius, Scarabs, The Oddest Book' in the World, Taken from the Papyri and Monuments.</p>"}
