She appeared at the Cleveland Playhouse for 10 years before coming to New York, where she took up photography. Her work appeared in Life magazine and was exhibited in one-woman shows. In 1941 Timberman was awarded a prize for her photography by New York's Museum of Modern Art.</p>"}
