A dancer, mime, and choreographer, he went on to Milan and Vienna where he was very successful. His choreographies include <span class=\"emph\">Conte de Montecristo, Edmondo Dantès, Cleopatra,</span>produced during the 1858-59 season at Milan's La Scala, and <span class=\"emph\">Maschera,</span>for Paris in 1964. He died May 23, 1865 in Turin.</p>"}
