Delaney was the father of Judge Hubert Delaney and the Delaney sisters, Dr. A. Elizabeth (Bessie) and Sarah (Sadie), along with 7 other children. The Reverend Henry Beard Delaney scrapbook, 1881-1908, contains newspapers and magazine clippings on or by the black clergy as well as Delaney; report cards for Delaney during his time as a student at St. Augustine; the Reverend's membership card to the Excelsior Lodge and miscellaneous letters to Delaney from various sources."}
