{"value"=>"These two logbooks of the brig Czarina, a merchant ship, were kept from 1834-1837 and 1849-1850. Captain Wolston Dixey kept a logbook while he was master of the Czarina; his log contains entries made from January 13, 1834-July 6, 1837. During this period the ship sailed on three voyages from Boston, Massachusetts to Cronstadt, Russia, the first and last of the voyages via Cuba. Cargoes included sugar from Cuba and hemp from Russia The other logbook was kept by Captain Ebenezer Graves while he was master of the Czarina and contains entries made between May 30, 1849 and March 2, 1850, when the Czarina sailed from New Orleans, Louisiana to Cadiz, Spain and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This logbook also contains entries made between March 17 and August 27, 1850, when the Czarina sailed from New Orleans to Hamburg, Germany; Lisbon, Spain; and Rio de Janeiro"}
