The two met as undergraduates at Sarah Lawrence College. This anthology, published in the mid-1990s, was to fill a perceived gap within African American and lesbian and gay writing. In other words, to give a voice to Black Lesbian writers. The final book contained twenty essays in verse and prose on a variety of subjects and themes.</p>"}
