She was also one of the representatives to the Non-Governmental Organizations section of the United Nations for the sorority. Papers of Elayne Corley consisting of her files from her involvement in the Iota Phi Lambda Sorority (treasurer for the Eastern Region) and the National Council of Negro Women. The files for NCNW principally document a fundraising concert for the Mary McLeod Bethune Memorial in Washington, D.C., of which Corley was chairperson. The files for the sorority contain programs, committee files, convention materials, annual reports, newsletters, handbooks, directories, the constitution and bylaws, handwritten notes and memorabilia."}
