He was born in Long Island City, New York in 1890.</p> <p>DeBevoise was the official photographer of Queens County from 1926 to 1960. After he retired from that role, DeBevoise became a lecturer on Long Island. In 1963, he published a photography book about Long Island. DeBevoise won accolades for his photography.</p> <p>DeBevoise served for fifty years in the Queens Christian Endeavor Union.</p> <p>In 1969, he died in New York City.</p>"}

The collection has a file titled \"Save\" that holds more shots of the 1964 World's Fair as well as various plants and animals. There are also a small number of miscellaneous and unidentified photographs of still lifes, people in church and in a forest, and an unidentified family. The collection consists of mostly medium format color transparencies and one black-and-white negative.</p> <p>Color transparencies of the Western United States feature animals, fruit trees, landscapes, national parks, Spanish missions, and suburban homes. The Long Island and Virginia transparencies depict roads and nature. Shots of Vermont spotlight animals, barns, mountains, rivers, and trees during the autumn season.</p> <p>The New York World's Fair and Save files hold exterior and interior shots of buildings and structures at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York. The Save file also includes transparencies of animals in the wild, fruits, and vegetables.</p>"}
