{"value"=>"<p>The Adriana Kleiman photographs, dating from 1965 to 1993, depict mainly buildings, streets, waterways, and roads around New York City taken for the New York City Planning Commission, as well as flowers, trees, lampposts, bridges, and buildings in Manhattan. The collection includes some pictures of unidentified people, a tenant party, and streets and buildings in Milan, Italy. There is one piece of correspondence from the Landmarks Preservation Commissioner, a page from Kleiman's address book, and a copy of her 1965 record from the naturalization certificate index.</p> <p>The bulk of the photographs, dating from 1967 to the 1970s, were created for the New York City Planning Commission and consist of black-and-white prints, negatives, contact sheets, and some color slides. The photographs feature aerial shots of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brownsville, Downtown Brooklyn, Grand Army Plaza, the Manhattan Bridge, and Spring Creek in Brooklyn; Hunts Point and the South Bronx in the Bronx; Battery Park and Midtown in Manhattan; New York Harbor; Roosevelt Island; St. George in Staten Island; and Lefrak City, Flushing Meadows, Rego Park, Flushing, and the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in Queens. There are street-level photographs of East 86th Street and 2nd Avenue as well as some unidentified streets in Manhattan. Some prints have handwritten locations and dates on the back. There are some personal photographs interfiled with the prints.</p> <p>The other larger portion of the collection, dating from 1991 to 1993, constitutes color prints and negatives of blooming flowers, trees, and bushes; lampposts; bridges; and buildings in Greenwich Village and Central Park. There are occasional pictures of buildings in Yonkers, a construction site in Lower Manhattan, unidentified people, and a peacock interfiled with these photographs. Most photographs have dates written on the back.</p>"}
