He grew up in Hannibal, Missouri, a location which inspired the setting of his novels <span class=\"title\">The Adventures of Tom Sawyer</span> (1876) and <span class=\"title\">The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn</span> (1884).</p> <p>In 1870, Clemens married Olivia Langdon in Elmira, New York. The couple had four children: Langdon Clemens (1870-1872), Olivia Susan Clemens (1872-1896), Clara Langdon Clemens (1874-1962), and Jane Lampton Clemens (1880-1909).</p> <p>Clemens died in Redding, Connecticut, in 1910.</p>"}
