{"value"=>"<p>Hilda Haynes (1912-1986) was a stage, screen, and television actress whose career spanned almost forty years. Haynes was born and raised in New York City, and began her acting career in the early 1940s. She studied and performed with the American Negro Theatre during the 1940s and 1950s, and was a member of the Negro Actors Guild. Haynes performed in <span class=\"title\">The River Niger</span> by the Negro Ensemble Company during its national tour from 1973 to 1974, as well as in several Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway shows, films, and television programs. She was known for her appearances in the films <span class=\"title\">Across 110th Street</span> (1972), <span class=\"title\">The Boy in the Plastic Bubble</span> (1976), and <span class=\"title\">Time After Time</span> (1979). Haynes died on March 4, 1986 in New York City.</p>"}
