{"value"=>"<p>Michael Truppin (1925-1983), a naturalized American citizen, was born in Dvinsk, Latvia. Truppin first emigrated to South Africa, prior to emigrating to the United States in 1953. Truppin was a renowned obstetrician and gynecologist at The Mount Sinai Medical Center, and an avid documentarian of ballet productions. Truppin and his second wife, Jan Moline Truppin, died on September 1, 1983, when their plane Korean Air Lines 007 strayed into Russian restricted air space and was shot down.</p>"}
