{"value"=>"<p>Eugenia Delarova was born in St. Petersburg in the Soviet Union in 1911. She left the county and began performing with the Folies-Bergère in Paris in 1928, where she met and later married the choreographer, Léonide Massine. The couple moved to New York City that same year, and soon after, Delarova began dancing with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo. She divorced Massine in 1938, and performed on Broadway throughout the 1940s.</p> <p>In 1966, Delarova married the engineer and inventor, Henri Doll. The couple donated significant time and money to arts organizations including the American Ballet Theater, the New York City Ballet, the Dance Theater of Harlem, the Joffrey Ballet, the American Symphony Orchestra, Carnegie Hall, and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Delarova Doll died in New York City in 1990.</p>"}

Those depicted include Mischa Auer, Yul Brynner, Rudolf Nureyev, Marianna Tcherkassky, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Katherine Healy. Many of the photographs are unlabeled and nearly all of them are undated.</p> <p>The family photographs include images of Delarova Doll's mother and her brother, Michael Delaroff. The images of her friends are mostly unidentified, but many include inscriptions addressed to Delarova Doll.</p>"}
