{"value"=>"<p>Edward Effron earned a biology degree from the University of Wisconsin, before embarking on a career in dance. He graduated from the Juilliard School in New York City, and worked as a dance photographer to supplement his income. A knee injury ended Effron's dance career, and he shifted his focus and career to lighting design. Effron is the author of the 1986 book, <span class=\"title\">Planning and Designing Lighting</span>. He has done lighting design for numerous dance companies throughout the United States and Europe.</p>"}

Effron had a detailed numbering and filing system, and each contact sheet and negative is labeled with a letter and number that corresponds to the descriptive index located in box 2, folder 3.</p>"}
