He was a dancer and choreographer at Ballet Club (later Ballet Rambert), founder and choreographer of the London Ballet, and choreographer at Ballet Theatre (later American Ballet Theatre). Tudor also taught at both the Metropolitan Opera Ballet and Juilliard School. He received numerous awards and accolades, including the Carina Ari Gold Medal, <span class=\"title\">Dance Magazine</span> Award, Capezio Dance Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors. He died in New York on April 19, 1987</p>"}
