{"value"=>"
The New York Women in Film & Television interviews contain video interviews with 141 women involved in the New York entertainment industry. In addition to the video files, 30 interviews have full transcripts with timestamps.

Also included are supplementary material such as biographical information about the participating interviewees, and a spreadsheet which contains technical information about the filming of each interview, along with who conducted the interview.

All interviews follow a similar question format: subjects are asked about basic background information, education and professional training, experience working in the industry, memorable career moments, impressions of working in New York, how the industry has changed, and advice for aspring women filmmakers, while leaving room for interview subjects to expand where necessary. Additionally, subjects are asked when and how they joined NYWIFT and what has been their experience with the organization.

Interviewees include actresses, directors, producters, writers, editors, executives, camera operators, set and costume designers, make-up artists, choreographers, educators, curators, critics, and more. Many interviewees hold multiple awards including Academy Awards, Emmys, Peabodys, Obies, Tonys, Kennedy Center Honors, National Medals of Arts, and other lifetime honors.

Some interviewees include Patricia Birch, Kitty Carlisle, Ruby Dee, Lee Grant, Chris Hegedus, Celeste Holm, Barbara Kopple, Sonia Manzano, Muffie Meyer, Pat Mitchell, Thelma Schoonmaker, and Leslie Uggams. Also interviewed are former Presidents, board members, and founders of NYWIFT.
"}
