Membership is not restricted to individuals of African ancestry. NCA provides scholarships for emerging artists seeking degrees in the visual arts, and supports the work of other arts and cultural organization by featuring their events. NCA's membership includes artists, educators, scholars, exhibitors, distributors, collectors, and other supporters of African-American art. Numerous chapters are located throughout the country. A journal, <span class=\"title\">The Artary: A Black Art News Magazine</span> was published quarterly.</p>"}
