A native of Buffalo, New York, Holloway was the first woman licensed and ordained at Canaan Baptist Church of Christ (Harlem, NY), where she served for 20 years under the pastorate of Reverend Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker.</p> <p>Currently Holloway works as a human relations specialist and Protestant chaplain for the New York City Department of Corrections. She also teaches at New York Theological Seminary and has authored several books including <span class=\"title\">Woman of the Cross: Sermons and Selected Prose of a Contemporary Clergy Woman</span>.</p>"}
