He served as publicist for the booking and promotion agency Sol Hurok Attractions, Inc., as well as the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the John F. Kennedy Center. He then became executive director of the Ambassador Auditorium, the Cerritos Performing Arts Center, the Pasadena Symphony, and General Manager of the Hollywood Bowl.</p>"}

There are a large number of images of the Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi's prima ballerina, Maya Plisetskaya. Photographs are mostly contact sheets and negatives, though there are some enlarged prints. A small number of photographs taken by photographers other than Shilkret are included in the collection. The collection also contains printed promotional material, including ballet programs and a poster of Mstislav Rostropovich.</p>"}
