{"value"=>"<p>Cliff Jahr (1937-1991) was an American journalist and writer. Clifford Gerald Jahr Jr. was born on February 10, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Jahr began his writing career. He specialized in celebrity profiles and interviews. Over Jahr's three decade career his articles appeared in publications such as <span class=\"title\">Ladies' Home Journal</span>, <span class=\"title\">Rolling Stone</span>, <span class=\"title\">People</span>, <span class=\"title\">Playboy</span>, <span class=\"title\">Cosmopolitan</span>, <span class=\"title\">The New York Times</span> and <span class=\"title\">The Village Voice</span>. In 1988 Jahr collaborated with Cheryl Crane on her memoir, <span class=\"title\">Detour: A Hollywood Tragedy -- My Life with Lana Turner, My Mother</span>, which described Crane's Hollywood childhood and her 1958 stabbing of Turner's abusive Mafia boyfriend, Johnny Stompanato.</p> <p>Cliff Jahr died in New York City on August 6, 1991.</p>"}

Levine, Liza Minnelli, Dolly Parton, Sally Jesse Raphael, O.J. Simpson, Barbra Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, and Jane Wyman. There are also research files on shows, films, and events, such as <span class=\"title\">42nd Street</span>, <span class=\"title\">Dog Day Afternoon</span>, and <span class=\"title\">Beatlemania</span>. These files also include hundreds of audio recordings of the interviews Jahr conducted with prominent figures in the entertainment industry. In some cases typed interview transcripts are also present.</p> <p>Jahr's files on <span class=\"title\">Detour: A Hollywood Tragedy -- My Life with Lana Turner, My Mother</span> are arranged alphabetically by file type and consist of multiple annotated drafts, revisions, and galleys of the manuscript. Research files include clippings collected by Jahr and his extensive notes from interviews he conducted for the book, with Crane and others. There are also budgets, contracts, and agreements documenting the logistics of Jahr and Crane's collaboration.</p>"}
