Her diaries of this period were published in 1962 under the title: Diary of a Union Lady, 1861-1865. Papers include correspondence; legal papers; writings and lectures; personal and legal scrapbooks; and diaries and notebooks. Also included are papers belonging to Maria Daly, wife of Charles P. Daly; of her father, Philip Mesier Lydig; and some letters and accounts of the French-born author and explorer Paul du Chaillu"}
