The Contessa tells Ingram of Dr. Aglietti's hurried trip to Ravenna, at Lord Byron's request, where Teresa was ill (the incident is described in Iris Origo's The last attachment, p. 79-80, without all the details provided here). Also mentioned in the letter is J. W. Polidori's The vampire, then attributed by some to Lord Byron.
