Known as a character actor, Don performed on Broadway, Off-Broadway and at regional theatres including the productions of <span class=\"title\">Romanoff and Juliet</span> with Peter Ustinov (both stage and the movie), <span class=\"title\">Dear Me, the Sky is Falling</span> with Gertrude Berg, and <span class=\"title\">The Tenth Man</span> directed by Tyrone Guthrie. He also appeared on television and in screen roles. In later years, Don taught acting classes and wrote poetry.</p> <p>Don died in New York City in 2001.</p>"}
