The scrapbooks are international in scope, and serve as a reference guide to countless plays and actors from the early 20th century. Each volume contains a table of contents with the production title. Some of the volumes lead with a typewritten theoretical essay or article about drama, usually excerpted from another text.</p> <p>The scrapbooks were assigned catalog numbers before final processing, and those numbers are retained under notes in the container list.</p>"}
