George Danvers Crossman was a lawyer from Thornbury (near Bristol) England. He kept this diary from May-August 1854 while traveling to New York City; Hamilton, New York; Niagara Falls; and Toronto, Canada. Diary includes an excellent description of life aboard a sailing ship, as well as of scenes in the United States and in Canada
