Daniel Hubbard Scott was a corporal, later private, in Company A, 35th New York Infantry. He was discharged for disability in July, 1862. Scott's pocket diary mentions his daily activities, marches in Virginia, weather, war news, personal expenses, his hospitalization due to a gunshot wound to his hand, and discharge.
