Albert Mayer (1897- ) was an American architect, city planner and engineer. He was appointed planning advisor to the government of Uttar Pradesh, India, in 1947 to study rural development in the region. Collection consists of correspondence, reports, programs, and other papers relating to "pilot intensive projects" at Etawah and elsewhere in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India, collected by Mayer, originator and principal consultant on the project. Papers were used as source material for Mayer's 1958 book Pilot Project, India.
