Carl Theodor, Baron d'Uklanski, author from Polish Prussia; he exiled himself in England from 1812 until his death sometime before July of 1816. · To "the Committee of the Gentlemen at the Surrey Institution" : 1 autograph letter third person : 7 Mar 1815 : (MISC 4297) : 1 page (double sheet) : from 50 Prospect place, Lambeth : saying that he, "having complained not long ago to the Comittee [sic] of the unbecoming behaviour which he experienced from the assistants at their library, has received no answer." After listing detailed complaints, he demands the return of half his annual subscription, "being absolutely disgusted with any longer subscribing to the Institution.".
