Pforzheimer, investment banker, philanthropist and collector : 2 letters : -- 1 typescript letter signed : 8 Apr 1929 : (MISC 1273) : from Albany : on letterhead of the Executive Chamber of the State of New York; with the envelope; begins, "Mr. Woodin has told me that you have consented to serve on the committee for the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation." -- 1 typescript letter with signature stamp : 7 Dec 1932 : (MISC 1274) : from the Executive Mansion in Albany, New York (printed letterhead) : begins, "Thank you for your letter of congratulation and good will." Along with a typescript notice by Louis McHenry Howe, with his signature stamp, explaining Roosevelt's use of the signature stamp is a result of the high volume of mail he has had to answer since his recent election to the presidency of the United States.
