Lucy Sherwood, daughter of children's writer Mary Martha Sherwood. Recording the daily doings and travels of the diarist and her family through France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the Netherlands, from 12 December 1831 to 12 June 1832. Includes a description of an encounter with Sir Walter Scott in Rotterdam, and a few pages of poetry, presumably composed by the diarist herself.
