E. B. Marks (1865-1945) was an American music publisher who founded the Edward B. Marks Music Company. The E. B. Marks collection of photographs and ephemera consist of clippings, publications, photographs, programs, promotional material, and other materials. Most of the clippings and publications date from about the 1930s to the 1940s and concern television and radio broadcasting, music, and film. There are programs from the first annual conference of the Television Broadcasters Association in 1944. Clippings concern the early development of television, film advertising, and individual musicians, among other topics. There are also clippings on theater from about the 1910s to the 1920s, and one folder of clippings on the evangelist Billy Sunday, dating to the 1910s. The collection contains programs for performances and lectures, which date from 1875 to 1911 and come from American theaters. The photographs in the collection are mostly of performers. There are a large number of photographs of vaudeville minstrel Eddie Leonard, as well as caricatures of Leonard, and a photograph of his wife, Mabel Russell. The collection contains one photograph identified as E. B. Marks. The collection includes several play scenarios, script excerpts, and song lyrics, including two scenarios in French by Charles Méré. The collection also contains a booklet produced by NBC's Radio-Recording Division, called "Family Album" and showing photographs of the division's employees; brochures and posters for "Lest We Forget," an educational radio series about American history and government created by the Institute of Oral and Visual Education; and a pedigree for a Jersey bull, Gold Dust the Fourth, dated 1882.

She first appeared on Broadway in The Late George Apley (1944), and began acting in films in the mid-1940s. The Joan Chandler papers (1923-1959) consist of photographs, clippings, programs, scrapbooks, contracts, correspondence, and other papers documenting her career, her secondary and post-secondary schooling, and her family. Chandler's upbringing and schooling in Butler, Pennsylvania are represented by yearbooks, photographs, class notes, programs, sheet music, clippings, and memorabilia, mostly from the late 1930s and 1940. Materials from the Bennington School of the Arts date from 1939 to 1941 and include class notes on the Graham technique, orientation materials, performance programs, sheet music ("Modern Dance Technique Accompaniments" by Zoe Williams), and a script (The King and the Duke by Francis Fergusson). The collection contains a small number of letters and telegrams, most of which are congratulatory notes, but which also include a short 1953 letter from José Ferrer talking about his acting style and his sense of being out of place among young actors. There is a script for a 1959 Actors Studio production of Herr Biedermann and the Arsonists, a directed by Mordecai Gorelik, and a pamphlet about the Actors Studio. The collection includes an audio recording.

Nancy Douglass (née Hasenwinkle) was a stage and radio actor. She began her career in the 1930s acting under the stage name Nancy Haswin, before changing her stage name to Douglass in 1938. She was married to Lawrence Hurdle and also performed for a time as Nancy Hurdle. Her Broadway roles included parts in
The Devil of Pei-Ling (1936),
Out of the Frying Pan (1941), and
Bloomer Girl (1944). She was an understudy in the Theatre Guild's touring production of
Ah, Wilderness! (1935) and starred in the radio program
Dangerous Road in 1938. In the 1960s and early 1970s she performed in touring productions of
Forty Carats and in the Windmill Dinner Theater in Texas. The Nancy Douglass papers (1933-1971) contains programs, photographs, clippings, telegrams, letters, and other materials related to Douglass' career. The collection includes a scrapbook which documents her career from 1934 to 1941.

The Voice of the Turtle (1943; Cummings was a replacement in 1945),
For Love or Money (1947), and
Mid-Summer (1953), and was in the Los Angeles production of
Anything Goes in 1935. She was married to actor William Gibberson (1919-1994); the two appeared together in
Mr. Barry's Etchings (1950). They also both acted in the 1954 national tour of
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, with Cummings playing Martha in the evening company and Gibberson playing George in the matinee company. The Vicki Cummings papers document her career from 1931 to 1967 through clippings, programs, photographs, and other papers. The collection contains promotional photographs of Cummings and a small number of production photographs, including images from
Anything Goes.
Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? materials include programs, clippings, and a tour itinerary. Gibberson went on to play opposite Shelley Winters in a 1965 summer stock production of the play, and the collection includes materials from that production. Gibberson's headshot and resume are also present. The collection also contains a copy of the script for Harold Pinter's
A Night Out, with a note to Cummings from Robert Henderson.
