The Royal Entertaining Partner's (R.E.P.) Club was a New York City all-male social club formed in 1920, and incorporated in May 1930. The club's first formal social gala, known as the Frolic, was held in 1920, and annually thereafter for the purpose of entertaining club members, their companions, and family members. Walter E. Hughes served as the club's first president. The Royal Entertaining Partner's (R.E.P.) Club records, 1960s- 1992, document the history and social gatherings of the R.E.P. Club. This collection documents the club's founding, operations, and activities through memorandums, event announcements, planning documents, meeting minutes, financial records, statistical reports, and correspondence. less

The Utility Club of New York City was founded in April 1917 to raise money and entertain soldiers during World War I. Over the years it evolved into a community organization focusing on expanding volunteer service throughout Harlem. Led by Mrs. Louise Fisher Morris who was president from 1933 until her death in 1979, the Utility Club awarded scholarships and educational aid, in addition to annual contributions to over thirty social welfare and civic agencies and organizations. An annual event was the anniversary luncheon in which members of the community were honored. In 1954 the Utility Club presented its first annual debutante cotillion, which served as the Club's prime fund raising affair. The Utility Club of New York City Records consist of letters of acknowledgement from the recipients of funds donated by the Club, invitations and programs for events it sponsored, and souvenir journals for luncheons and cotillions. less
